It’s time for the State Governments to wake and let undocumented immigrants get drivers licenses and auto insurance. We will all be safer when this happens. But for it to happen, we have to let go of the idea that a Drivers License is legal proof of anything but the legal right to drive. A drivers license should not be used as proof of legal residency.
